Teaching

Helping students connect theory to real business challenges

Teaching Assistant at Birmingham City Business School, teaching across business, sustainability, operations and research-led subjects.

Teaching philosophy

I came to teaching from industry, and it shows in how I teach. Concepts stick when students can see them at work — a supply chain decision, an energy efficiency investment, a project budget under pressure. I aim for clarity first, practical examples second, and inclusive discussion throughout, so that students from every background can connect the theory to business decisions they will actually face.

As a researcher, I also want students to leave with a healthy respect for evidence: knowing where a claim comes from, what a method can and cannot show, and how to ask better questions.

Student support and supervision interests

I am glad to support undergraduate and postgraduate projects in sustainability and ESG, net-zero and climate strategy, operations and supply chain management, project management, and quantitative business research. I have mentored young scientists and engineers through the Victoria College Science and Engineering Fair (VCSEF) and the Success Training Program (STP) at the Faculty of Engineering, Alexandria University, and welcome conversations with students considering research in these areas — get in touch.
